OPA discusses economic revival at 33rd Annual Conference

The Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) recently conducted its 33rd Annual Conference under the theme ‘Bounce Back – Disasters are Opportunities’. The event was held for two days on a digital platform due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa participated in the conference as its chief guest, while the keynote speaker was former Pakistani Federal Minister and a world-renowned scientist Prof. Atta-Ur-Rahman. Several other speakers joined from countries such as India, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom.

The speeches covered proposals on the ‘Economic Revival of Sri Lanka’ through the mitigation of COVID-19 in different sectors such as Education, Agriculture, Health, Housing, Supply Chain, Construction, and Foreign Employment.
