Trinity- Sylvester friendly ends in a draw

The inter school friendly cricket match between Trinity college and St. Sylvester’s college ended in a draw yesterday at the Asgiriya stadium. On the first day St. Sylvester’s College taking the first lease of the wicket after winning the toss wereskittled out for 201 runs. Trinity College in reply did well with the bat and were 148 for 1 at the end of the first day.

Resuming from the overnight score Trinitians dominated day two with Abhishek Anandakumar and Umari Raizan hitting 146 and 139 runs respectively while Pawan Pathiraja adding 75 to the total. These three batsmen paved a solid platform for Trinitians and helped their side to post a huge 501 total for the first innings. St. Sylvester’s College in their second innings were 55 for 1 at close of play.
