People above 30 in High risk areas to be vaccinated

The Health Ministry has decided to vaccinate all persons above the age of 30 living in Grama Niladhari divisions identified as high-risk areas for COVID-19 in Gampaha and Colombo districts, starting from today, the Government Information Department said.

The Director General of Health Services has informed all relevant health authorities in the two districts to identify the GN divisions which needs COVID-19 vaccination on a priority basis.

The Health Ministry has decided to vaccinate all persons above the age of 30 living in Grama Niladhari divisions identified as high-risk areas for COVID-19 in Gampaha and Colombo districts, starting from yesterday, the Government Information Department said.

The Director General of Health Services of the Ministry of Health has informed all relevant health authorities in the two districts to identify the GN divisions which need COVID-19 vaccines on a priority basis.

The Director General of Health Services has informed health authorities to vaccinate both permanent and non-permanent residents living in the identified GN divisions.

Only residents of an identified GN division will be vaccinated in medical centres established for the purpose within a GN division.
