The Batticaloa District Secretariat held a meeting to review the measures taken by the government to prevent child abuse, child labour, and suicide on Thursday. The event, organised by Assistant Government Agent A. Naveswaran, was also attended by Batticaloa Government Agent K. Karunakaran, judicial medical officers, child probation officers of National Child Protection Authority, and police officers from the Women and Child Protection Bureau.
