Kurunegala District MP, SLPP Leader and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has informed Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena that all artistes countrywide would be given COVID-19 vaccine during this week itself.
Accordingly, they would be given the vaccine at the Sri Lanka Army Hospital at Narahenpita, the PM has assured Trade Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena as the Minister had requested the Prime Minister in writing to explore the possibility to expedite measures in giving the vaccine to artistes.
“All cinema and tele-drama artistes, musicians and authors are to be vaccinated against COVID-19,” said Minister Gunawardena when he was contacted by the Daily News yesterday(1).
