Ramika Dihen Perera, a grade nine student of St.Sylvester’s College,Kandy started gymnastics in the year 2013 under the coaching of Amal Rasanga,the International Level one Gymnastic Coach. Ramika Dihen is a 14 year old talented gymnast who has won many tournaments at Provincial level, junior national level as well as international level. In the year 2016 he became first in floor event,Vault event, Rings and Parallel Bar events and in 2017 too he repeated his performances at the same meet.

He performed well at the gymnastic tournament conducted by the Department of Education and he came first in Floor and second in Vault at the Central Province Meet in 2017. In the year 2018 he ended up second in Vault and Floor events and in 2019 Ramika obtained first place in Rings and second place in Floor, Vault, Parallel Bar and Parallel Highbar. At the Junior National Artistic Gymnastics Championship he continued his winning spree when he won the Floor event and in 2017 he came third in Vault and ended up in sixth place in Parallel Highbar and in 2019 he won the Floor and Parallel Bar and came second in Parallel Highbar and fourth in Vault event. At the Junior gymnastic Championship he came fourth in Floor and in 2017 he secured the second place in Vault and in 2019 came first in Vault and second in Floor event. At the all Island Schools games he secured second place in Floor event. In the first International Gymnastic Cup tournament in 2016 at the Under 10 age group he came first in Floor, Parallal Bar and Pommel Horse.

Ramika is thankful to his Coach Amal Rasanga for making him a talented gymnast and to the Prefect of Games, Thusitha Pallekumbura for the guidance given to him.
