Guwan Mithudam project Fifth leg conducted

The Fifth leg of the Guwan Mithudam project was conducted at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Morawewa was held under the patronage of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson Mrs. Charmini Pathirana on Thursday.

The Fifth leg of the Guwan Mithudam(Air friendship)project was conducted at SLAF Station Morawewa on Thursday. A Drinking Water Project was officially handed over to the Diulwewa residents while Morawewa Yayahaya Vidyalaya at Mahadiulwewa was renovated as part of this community project.

Gift packs were distributed among the schoolchildren of Morawewa Yayahaya Vidyalaya to mark the occasion.

Divul Wewa is a rural village facing a drinking water problem. Therefore, this event was organised under the series of Guwan Mithudam projects of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit along with SLAF Station Morawewa to better the lives of those people in need which is one of the prime objectives of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.

SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson Mrs. Charmini Pathirana was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mrs. Rosy Labrooy, wife of the Director Ground Operation, Mrs. Nirodha Thennakoon, wife of the Director Welfare, Mrs. Ajantha Jayawardana, wife of the Acting Director Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Group Captain H.T.H. Dharmadasa, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Morawewa, a cross section of Officers, Other Ranks of SLAF Station Morawewa and SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit staff also participated.
