The Police had arrested 13 suspects for the possession of the narcotic substance 'ICE' during raids carried out since April 10, Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said approximately, 128 kilogrammes of ICE had been seized during these arrests.
The Police Narcotic Bureau on Thursday arrested a suspect (28) in Hunupitiya, Wattala for the possession of 2.4 kilogrammes of ICE.
Previously, on April 10, the Police arrested a suspect in Wattala for the possession of 113 grammes of 'ICE' and 101 grammes of Heroin. Following interrogation of the suspect, 15 kilogrammes of ICE had been found in the Ja-Ela area on April 11. Six suspects including two female suspects had been arrested during the raid.
Five suspects were arrested in Rathgahawatte in Sapugaskanda on April 12 for possessing 110 kilogrammes of 'ICE'.
The Police request the public to give information related to narcotic substances to Hotline 1997. The Police said that the individuals who provide useful information would be rewarded.
