Highest number of vaccines administered yesterday in Sri Lanka

The highest number of vaccines given in a single day in relation to the COVID-19 immunization programme in the country was recorded yesterday with 437,878 persons getting vaccinated.

Accordingto the Epidemiology Unit statistics, 365,628 doses of Sinopharm were provided as the 1st dose, while 35,722 doses were administered as the 2nd dose.

Meanwhile, 25,240 doses of the Moderna vaccine and 108 doese of pfizer were provided as the first dose.

Health authorities administered the highest number of COVID-19 vaccines in a single day with 437,878 persons inoculated on Monday (26).

Health Ministry figures released yesterday stated that 437,873 people had been vaccinated against COVID-19 on Monday, out of which 356,628 people had received the first dose of Sinopharm, and 55,722 people got the second dose of the jab.

In addition, 25,420 persons were given the Moderna vaccine’s first dose, while the first dose of Pfizer vaccines was given to 108. The Health Ministry said that to date, Sri Lanka has administered nearly 7,839,638 first doses of the coronavirus vaccines across the country, with the majority having received the Sinopharm vaccine.
