‘Ayurveda medicines can cure COVID’

Indigenous medical treatments can cure COVID-19 effectively, Ayurvedic Physicians in the Matale District said.

Although the Government has set up two Ayurvedic Hospitals and a number of Ayurvedic Dispensaries in the district, these places lack necessary equipment, medicines and staff, they said.

An Ayurvedic Physician in the District said that the State Minister in charge of the subject has taken every possible step to uplift the Ayurvedic Medical System, but other politicians must extend their support in this regard.

An Ayurvedic Treatment Centre has been set up in Laggala a few weeks ago, but it has not been opened since it lacks facilities, he said.
