Maintain your beauty

  • Locks in moisture

One of the biggest advantages kiwi offers is its uncanny ability to keep skin hydrated. This is due in large part to the fruit’s high concentration of vitamin C, which enhances barrier lipids in the skin.

  •  Helps prevent early aging

Using skincare products with vitamin C-rich ingredients — like kiwi — can improve your skin’s resistance to UV exposure and actually help it produce collagen.

  • Reduces appearance of wrinkles

Every time you eat vitamin C-rich foods like kiwi and strawberries, you’re giving your skin the tools it needs to fight signs of aging. After all, having a diet that’s high in vitamin C improves the skin’s elasticity, antioxidant capacity and moisture.

Beauty benefits

  •  For skin

1. Firms skin

Kiwi when applied to the skin in any form helps in making it firm. The mashed kiwifruit on skin helps in carrying vital nutrients and minerals to the skin, which eventually helps in restoring the firmness and elasticity of the skin.

2. Exfoliates dead skin

Who knew kiwi can have exfoliating properties too? The peel of kiwifruit has exfoliating properties and helps in removing dead skin cells. The enzymes in the peel help in making your skin flawless and smooth by doing away with dead cells.

3.Controls acne

Kiwi helps in controlling the excess sebum production in our skin, thereby controlling the excess oil which leads to acne.

4. Anti-ageing

Kiwi is a great ingredient when it comes to fighting free radicals, which helps in preventing early signs of ageing like wrinkles, fine lines etc.

5. Glowing skin

The vitamin C content in kiwi fruit is a great way to get set and glow. It helps in giving a natural glow and shine to your skin, making it supple.

Health benefits

  •  Prevents blood clotting

Kiwis were found to prevent blood clotting and manage blood pressure by reducing the amount of fat in the blood. It was found that this happened without negatively affecting blood cholesterol levels

  •  Aids in digestion

Kiwi contains a good amount of dietary fibre making it useful for improving digestion. Apart from the fibre content, kiwi also contains an enzyme, actinidin which can effectively break down proteins in the gut. After eating a large meal, it’s advised to eat a kiwi because it can help break down tough proteins from meat and fish that often can cause bloating.

  •  Supports immune function

Vitamin C is important for cellular function and protects cells from free radical damage in the body. It’s responsible for the growth and repair of tissues and provides support for the immune system.

The high concentration of vitamin C in kiwis can do wonders for the immune system.

Selecting kiwis as a part of a beauty treatment
