Cash, jewellery stolen from closed shop

Rs. 85,000 and five sovereign jewellery items have been stolen from a closed shop during the lockdown in Sinna Urani, Batticaloa on Wednesday morning.

The shop owner told Police that the rear door had been broken. The CCTV footage shows the thieves entering the shop wearing face masks.

Investigations are continuing.
