Notorious underworld gangster and drug trafficker Amila Prasanna, alias “Sunshine Sudda”, had been shot dead in Kotawila, Matara, the Police said today.
He had been travelling in a van at the time of the incident.
“Sunshine Sudda” had been identified as a close associate of the slain underworld leader ‘Makandure Madush’.
He was among the suspects arrested with Madush at a lavish party in Dubai in 2019.
The 29-year-old suspect was injured in a shooting incident at the Mirissa Harbour Road on May 30, 2020.
