Additional MOH dies of COVID

Anamaduwa Additional Medical Officer of Health Wasantha Jayasuriya had died while under treatment at the COVID Treatment Centre of the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) on Friday evening.

A father of two, Dr. Jayasuriya was a resident of Kadawatha. He was working at the Incentive Care Unit (ICU) of the Negombo Base Hospital before being transferred to the Anamaduwa MOH Office.

He had been under treatment for more than 10 days at the IDH, Hospital sources said.
