737 quarantine law violators arrested

737 persons were arrested yesterday for not wearing face masks and failing to maintain social distancing, stated the Police Media Division.

So far 70,694 suspects have been arrested for not wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing in public areas.

Over 730 Quarantine Curfew violators arrested

Police have arrested 737 persons and seized 92 vehicles for violating the Quarantine Curfew in the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 am today (13).

A total of 306 persons in 193 vehicles who had entered and exited the Western Province through roadblocks violating provincial traffic restrictions have been diverted after being warned by the Police on September 12.

So far 70,694 persons have been arrested for violating the quarantine laws, according to the Police Headquarters.

A total of 727 persons in 448 vehicles and 306 persons in 193 vehicles entering the Western Province were questioned by the Police at roadblocks set up at 13 entry and exit points in the Western Province Sunday (12). "All Police officers have been instructed to strictly enforce the Quarantine Curfew rules and to arrest those who do not comply," Police Headquarters sources said.
