Lankans in Italy express support for President, PM

The Patriotic United National Party members and patriotic Sri Lankans in Bologna and those from other Italian cities organised a rousing welcome for Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa who arrived in the City to address the G20 Global Interfaith Forum. Party leader Sugath Hewapathirana said that anti-Government demonstrations organised jointly by certain Opposition parties and the Tamil Diaspora groups ended in disarray as patriotic Sri Lankans in Italy rallied in support of the Premier, who received acclaim for his wide-ranging speech at the Interfaith Forum.
