Trishaw driver dies in accident

A three wheeler veered off the road and crashed into a wall after knocking against a tree by the road, killing its driver on Saturday night, Galle Police said.

Two passengers in the vehicle were injured and one of them was rushed to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital. The driver was identified as Dickwella Patabendige Chandana Chamil De silva (57) of Patuwatha Dodanduwa, Police said.

They were travelling towards Galle from Rathgama at the time of the accident that took place near Sudharshanarama Temple, Piyadigama, Police said.

Galle Police are investigating.
