Arugam Bay, the most attractive tourist resort in the East which has been deserted over the past two years without any tourists owing to the COVID-19 pandemic plans to celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27, under very strict health guidelines with the supervision of the MOH Pottuvil.
Chamber of Tourism and Industry along with the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation is making all arrangements to celebrate the World Tourism Day at the Hotel Blue Wave in Arugam Bay. "The highlight of the celebrations will be presentation of gifts to tourists presently staying in Arugambay in appreciation of their decision to visit the country during the Pandemic. The Grama Seva Niladharis in the area will also be presented a certificate of appreciation for their unstinted support to the health authorities of the area during the pandemic period ,” President of the Chamber of Tourism and Industry A.M.Jaufer said.
