Wildlife in Bundala, Yala in jeopardy

Herds of deer in the Bundala and the Yala National Parks are in jeopardy since they are being hunted regularly.

Residents of the area said that illegal hunting of wild animals including deer is rampant in the area now.

Therefore, they urge the relevant authorities to take steps against the poachers to protect wild animals from extinction.

Meanwhile, Wildlife Authorities request the public not to dump garbage in the national parks since wild animals more often die feeding on garbage.
