Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla yesterday visited the Trincomalee oil tank farm and met Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC) officials.
The LIOC officials briefed the visiting foreign secretary about the developments undertaken at the lower oil tank farm and the possibilities to further strengthen the Indo -Lanka energy partnership. “LIOC briefed him about the development undertaken at the Lower Tank Farms and the possibilities in further strengthening India-Sri Lanka energy partnership to enhance SL’s energy Security”, Indian High Commission in Colombo in a twitter message said.
The visiting Foreign Secretary yesterday morning visited Sri Dalada Maligawa and participated in religious observances. He was received at the Sri Dalada Maligawa on arrival by Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela. India’s High Commissioner in Colombo Gopal Baglay was also present.
