VTA, Kevilton partner to support electricians

Kevilton Electrical Products Pvt Ltd, part of the Capital Maharaja Group and the Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 05.10.2021 at Orugodawatta K – Tec Institute of Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority.

The practical knowledge of the electricians associated with the Kevilton Company throughout the island is put to the test and the theoretical knowledge and skills deficiencies of the technicians are identified through a pre-assessment and the updated knowledge required by them is carried out by the Training Division of the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka after the final evaluation to issue NVQ - Level 3 Certificates under the RPL methodology. Funding and training materials required in this regard will be provided by Kevilton.

Both the public and private sector companies identify and act on the public demand for training of manpower required for the electrical sector to provide high-quality certification to electricians for the design and standardization of high-quality electrical equipment in the world, which is a unique social mission. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka Chairman / CEO Eranga Basnayake and Capital Maharaja Group Group Director S. C. Weerasekera.

Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovations State Minister Dr Seetha Arambepola, Kevilton Chief Executive Officer Nalin Jayawardena, Deputy Chairman Mahesh Ariyaratne, Director-General Chulangani Perera and the Board of Directors were also present for this occasion.
