The Old Royalists’ Social Services League (ORSSL) recently assisted the Royal College Social Services League (RCSSL) to commemorate its 100th Anniversary by providing a stock of medical equipment to the Homagama Base Hospital.
Royal College, Colombo Principle M.V.S. Gunathilaka received the stock from the ORSSL Office Bearers and provided the same to the Hospital under the RCSSL Suwa Saviya Project.
The Royal College Social Services League was formed in 1921 to assist less-privileged communities.
The RCSSL Founder Members were eminent old Royalists such as President J.R. Jayewardene, former Chief Justice Miliani Sansoni, former Finance Minister Stanley Soysa and former Parliament Speaker Shirley Corea.
Royal College Assistant Principal and Senior Games Master Riyaz Aluher said that such donations are immensely needed at this juncture.
RCSSL, Teacher-in-Charge Dulani Wickramasinghe was present.
