Sri Lanka-Bangladesh fourth youth ODI today

The fourth ODI between Sri Lanka Under 19 and Bangladesh under 19 will be played today (23) at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium. Sri Lankan Under 19 led by Dunith Wellalage, already having a 3-0 series win came to this game with more confidence.

Wellalage and the team defeated opponents by 42 runs in the 1st ODI, while they recorded a thrilling one-run victory in the second ODI and the third ODI, winning by three wickets to clinch the series with two matches to spare.

Sri Lankan spinners have dominated all three games with off-spinner Trevin Mathews, producing seven wickets, while Pawan Pathiraja scored back to back half-centuries in the first two ODI's came on top among the batters. Shevon Daniel made the highest individual score of 85 which paved the way for Sri Lanka to win the third ODI last Wednesday. Also, Sri Lankan fielding was very high standard during this series which also added more advantage for their success.

The head coach Avishka Gunawardena and his supporting staff give good support to youth team success.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh youth team also looking to get score a victory with the last two games facing a severe lack in their batting performance.

The fifth and final ODI among these two teams will be played on October 25 at the same venue.
