All round Cricketer right hand middle order batswoman right arm of spinner and safe fielder, Most Popular Girls Cricketer Batsman.Com 2021, Member of the Sri Lanka under 21 Development Squad and a Athlete Shavindhi Cooray has brought honour and glory to her school Wadduwa Central College with her deeds in the field of cricket.

Savindhi was born on 4 th July 2002 and initially admitted to Mahanama Navodya Maha Vidyalaya Panadura in 2008 when Mrs.Nadeeka was the Principal . Up to grade five Savindhi did not participate in any sports activity but in 2013 participating in the school sports meet under eleven age group she came first in Putt Shot and Long Jump and third in 100 metres but she did not go for Divisional Meet and in the following year too the results were the same and up to 2017 she did field events and won places and her Coach was Mr.Ishara In the meantime she got through her ‘O’ Levels with good results and her Parents Priyantha Cooray and Nisansala Rajapaksha admitted their daughter to Wadduwa Central for better prospects in 2019 and participating at the Divisional Meet she came first in Javelin and Discus Throw. Her Coach was Danushka Perera When she was in Grade Eight at her former school she played for the under 13 team and took part in the Kalutara District Cricket Tournament and when she was in Grade Nine her school team participated in the Kalutara District Tournament and Inter School matches and they played a Big Mtach versus Wadduwa Central in 2017 and she won the Best Bowler’s Award.

Then in 2019 she joined Wadduwa Central and walked into the Wadduwa Central under 19 team and in the Singer Tournament they were the Second Runner up and in 2020 they were the Runners up. She was the winner of the Most Popular Girls Cricketer Award conducted by the Batsman.Com and she received the Provincial Cricket colours too. In addition presently she is in the Sri Lanka under 21 Development Squad. Her Principal Dilan Gunaratne was always supportive.
