The bodies of three persons were found yesterday from Wellawatte, Bambalapitiya and Wellampitiya.
The bodies of two males were found in the sea area in Wellawatte and Bambalapitiya areas yesterday morning, according to the Police Media Unit. Meanwhile, another body was found in a canal near the Kolonnawa fuel storage complex. The Police media told the Daily News that the two bodies recovered from the Wellawatte and Bambalapitiya beach had not been identified. The body found in the Wellawatte sea area is believed to be that of a male around 40-55 years. The body of the male found in Bambalapitiya is suspected to be around 40-50 years, but his identity is yet unknown. The body recovered from the Wellampitiya area had been identified as that of a 57-year-old resident of Meetotamulla.
The body of the deceased person found in Wellampitiya is lying at the Colombo National Hospital Mortuary pending the postmortem examinations.
