Public auction to dispose 105 confiscated boats

A public auction, to dispose 105 fishing vessels belonging to Indian fishermen from among the vessels taken into custody by the Navy, will be held for the first time in February on the orders of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department Director General.

Accordingly, 65 fishing vessels will be auctioned on February 7 at Karainagar, 5 vessels at Kankesanthurai on February 8, 24 vessels at Kiranchi on February 9 and 2 vessels at Kalpitiya on February 10.

These fishing vessels, in the possession of the Navy, will be auctioned between 10 am and 4 pm on relevant dates.
