Mahiyangana Rajamaha Viharaya receives Buddha Statue

A seven-feet-tall Buddha statue was donated to Mahiyangana Rajamaha Viharaya by Ven. Bodhichitta Therani from Vietnam for strengthening the relationship between Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

She is the Vice President of Sri Lanka–Vietnam Maliyadewa Buddhist Society and a student of Ven. Pamunuwe Dhammarathna Thera who is also its President.

The ceremony took place under the patronage of Chief Incumbent of Mahiyangana Rajamaha Viharaya Ven. Urulewatte Dhammarakkitha Thera with the participation of the Secretary of the Society Dr. Sujatha F. Bondarenko on the last Full Moon Poya Day.
