CTU laments power outages affecting students

Ceylon Teacher’s Union (CTU) President Priyantha Fernando stated that the education of children has been severely affected due to the power crisis.

Fernando said the education of the children was affected even during the last six months and the upcoming GCE Advanced Level examination which will be going on for about a month will also be severely affected by the power crisis. He made these comments during a media briefing held on 24th evening at Anuradhapura.

Fernando said that it has now become clear to the entire country that there is a serious fraud and corruption behind this power outage and power generation is being manipulated for political reasons.
