Directors of M/S Zeitgeist based in Lahore, Pakistan a well-established high quality garment export company recently visited the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka with the objective of exploring opportunities for investment in Sri Lanka in the apparel sector.
The delegation consisted of Saad Bin Khalid, Dr. Bilal Bin Khalid, Hashim Khalid and Daniyal Khalid of M/S Zeitgeist. M/S Zeitgeist is a leading manufacturer of yarn, fabrics and garments. The high quality garments are exported to European Economic Community, United Kingdom, and North America.
Eng.Raja Edirisuriya, Chairman BOI welcomed the delegation and briefed on the investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, highlighting the advantages offered to textile/ apparel industry including the dedicated textile manufacturing park currently being developed at Eravur, Batticaloa. Renuka Weerakone Director General of BOI and Executive Director Prasanjith Wijayathilake also participated in the discussion.
The delegation visited the Katunayaka Export Processing Zone and the Port City followed by a meeting with the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF).
