One killed in party clash in Nelliady

One person was killed in a clash between two factions during a party in the Karanawai area in Nelliady on Monday night.

The two groups had attended a party and had clashed over an argument when one of them had broken a bottle and stabbed the other person. The injured person was rushed to the Point Pedro Hospital but was pronounced dead upon admission.

The victim is a 26-year-old resident of Thikkam, Point Pedro.

The body of the deceased is lying at the Nelliady Hospital Mortuary pending the postmortem examination.

The suspects responsible for the killing have not been arrested so far and the Nelliady Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
