GMOA warns of trade union action over salary cuts

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) said it will launch trade union action without notice from May 25, if the authorities fail to provide a favourable response to their demands.

GMOA Secretary Dr. Senal Fernando said trade union action is being considered to protest moves by the government to impose a salary cut on employees of the health sector.

The GMOA has also warned that it will launch its trade union action together with other employees of the health sector on May 25.
