Bodies of two aged women found in house

The Police on Saturday found the bodies of two elderly women in a house in the Vadukkodai area in Jaffna.

The deceased are aged 76 and 78 and the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Preliminary investigations after the bodies were taken to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital revealed that one woman had died about eight days earlier and the other, two days earlier.

The bodies were first found by the Grama Niladhari of the area who had gone to the house on an official matter.He had found both bodies in the house and had informed the police.

Vadukodai Police are conducting investigations.
