Gateway College continued their winning streak by winning the Inter International Schools Under 20 Girls Netball Championship once again for the fourth successive year. The prestigious tournament was organized by Ilma International School and the final encounter was played at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium recently.
Gateway College beat Ilma International School in the final with a comprehensive margin of 14-3. The semi-final was a closer affair but Gateway, finally beat Lyceum International School Wattala by 11-7.
At the preliminary stage Gateway won with ease with Colombo International School Kandy by beating them 11-2 but lost to Gateway College Kandy 7-8. They received a walkover from Lyceum International School Panadura.
Gateway’s Onadhi Samarakoon was crowned as the Netball Queen of the Tournament while Methuli Erahapola won the award for the Best Defensive Player.
