Aluminum factory opened in Batti

An aluminum factory was opened by Batticaloa Governer K. Karunagaran in Kattankudy on Sunday (5) at cost Rs. 2,000 million.

The factory will increase the Gross National Products (GDP) and provide jobs for over 200 youth directly and over 350 indirectly.

The factory will incorporate German, Japanese and Vietnamese technology and employ recycling method to produce a number of aluminum products. Local materials will be used and a variety of aluminum products made with zero waste. Modern machineries will be used and water purification and air pollution control system will be used ensuring that the environment is not spoilt in any manner.

Additional Government Agent Sudharshini Srikanth, Assistant Government Agent A.Naveswaran, President of Batticaloa Tamil Sangam V.Ranjithamoorthy, Chairman Kattankudy Urban Council A.H.M. Aspher, Manmunai Pattu Divisional Secretary Sathiyananthy Namasivayam were present.

Ultra Aluminum Factory (PVT) Limited Chairman A.M.Unaiz said that a tile factory will also be opened providing over 2,000 jobs very soon.
