SLTB employees TU action called off

The Trade Union action launched by Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) employees to withdraw from the bus service due to a salary issue ended yesterday (10) with the intervention of SLTB Chairman, Attorney-at-Law Kingsley Ranawaka.

SLPP union president of the SLTB Nurajith Singh said that they decided to call off the trade union action after the management decided to grant their demands following a discussion with the President.

All Ceylon Transport Employees President Sepala Liyanage said that SLTB employees have not received their salary increment since 2018.

Employees of SLTB Depot 107 went on strike yesterday morning due to this problem.
