Nayananjani Monarawila (28) of Piliyandala has won the second place in the International Digital Art Competition organized by the United Nations International Seabed Authority on the occasion of World Oceans Day 2022. The competition was held to encourage deep sea research. She is currently working as a Research Assistant at the Secretariat Division of the National Maritime Affairs Committee of the National Maritime Affairs Ministry.
