Body found inside parked train

A person was found dead inside a train compartment at the Rambukkana railway station on Sunday, Police said.

He had been found hanging inside a train which had been parked at Rambukkana from Saturday night.

According to the Police, the deceased was wearing a white sarong and black long-sleeved shirt and his identity is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, the Rambukkana Police found a woman dead inside a house in Poththapitiya on Friday afternoon.

The victim is a 72-year-old resident of Udugama, Paththampitiya.

She had been living in this house with her husband, who is said to be physically handicapped.

Police officers observed blood near the body. The bodies are kept in the Kegalle Hospital and the Rambukkana Police are investigating.
