Two hour, 15 minute power cut for four days

The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has given permission to the CEB to carry out a two hour and 15 minute power cut in all parts of the country for four days from today (15) to June 18 due to the lack of sufficient fuel and water to generate electricity.

Accordingly, power cuts will be imposed in Zones A to W during these 4 days from 9 am to 10 pm from time to time, the CEB said.

However, there will be a two hour and 15 minute power cut in the commercial areas of Colombo from 6 am to 8.35 am only.

In addition, there will be a one-hour power outage on June 19, which will take place in all regions between 5:00 pm and 10 pm. It is also proposed to impose a one hour power cut in the morning on June 19 for commercial areas in Colombo.
