A senior official of the Colombo National Dental Institute said yesterday (14) that thousands of patients who come for treatment are inconvenienced daily due to the lack of X-ray machines.
He said that about 500 people visit the OPD every day for treatment at the National Dental Institute and about 200 of them are referred for X-rays. He said that those who are referred for X-rays go out of the hospital to get X-rays and it is reported that some patients are suffering due to lack of funds.
He said that it would be easier for the patients if the officials of the Health Ministry would take steps to provide the required machinery as soon as possible.
