Twenty new buses for students from today

Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardana says that 20 new Sisu Sariya bus services will be launched from today (15) to operate on all access roads to Colombo.

The number of such buses will be increased to 50 within the next month, he said.

The Minister further said that these steps were taken due to the increase in fuel prices and the fares of public transport services as well as the increase in the prices of school van services.
