Malaysia has consented to opening a Vocational Training Centre in Colombo aimed at providing employment accommodation in Malaysia for Sri Lankans.

This was revealed by Malaysian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Tan Yan Thai when he met Foreign Employment and Labour Affairs Minister Manusha Nanayakkara at the Ministry yesterday.

The High Commissioner further said that with the reduction of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Malaysia, Malaysia has once again opened its doors for migrant employees and would also consider enhancing the job quota for Sri Lankans.
