Bourse falls further amidst negative vibes

Colombo bourse continued its decline trend due to the weak sentiments due to the on-going economic crisis in the country.

Thus, The All-Share Price Index decreased by 66.8points (-0.9%) to close at 7,705.3 whilst S&P SL20 Index also decreased by 22.1 points (-0.9%) to close at 2,463.1. LOLC Holdings, Browns Investments, Royal Ceramics, Lanka IOC and Softlogic Holdings remained as the top negative contributors to the ASPI during the day.

Further, broader market’s total turnover stood at Rs. 786.3mn against the 12-month average daily turnover of Rs. 4,617.8mn, whilst the volume traded for the day was 41,726.2k against the 12-month average daily volume of 223,914.8k. Banks, Diversified Financials and Transportation mostly contributed to yesterday’s turnover.

Further, Browns Investments, LOLC Finance,

Dialog Axiata, Blue Diamonds (Voting) and Lanka Walltile were amongst the most actively traded stocks yesterday.
