Kerala cannabis worth Rs. 800,000 seized

Avissawella Police have arrested a suspect on Monday (20) with three kilograms and 100 grams of Kerala cannabis worth around Rs. 800,000 and Rs. 27,000 that was probably earned from drug trafficking.

The 35-year-old suspect has been identified as a major drug dealer in the Avissawella area and in several nearby towns. According to the Avissawella Police the suspect is being detained and questioned on a detention order issued by the Avissawella Magistrate’s Court, Avissawella OIC Chief Inspector J.P.C. Jayalath and Criminal Investigation Division OIC Chief Inspector P.G.S.R. Sanjeewa are leading the investigations.
