Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi-Zhenhong called on the Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles yesterday at the Ministry of Public Security, Suhurupaya, Battaramulla.
The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and China, Sri Lanka’s economic crisis and the political situation in Sri Lanka, and steps to be taken to overcome the crisis.
The Minister thanked China for its support to Sri Lanka at all times and expressed hope that China would continue to support Sri Lanka.
The Chinese Ambassador assured that he would extend all possible assistance to Sri Lanka in overcoming this crisis.
He also said that the Chinese Government would extend its fullest support to the Ministry of Public Security and congratulated the Minister on his appointment as the new Minister of Public Security.
