Batti SLTB Depot Manager arrested

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Batticaloa Depot Manager was arrested by the Bribery Commission while he was soliciting a bribe on Thursday evening (28).

He had asked for a Rs. 75,000 bribe to grant the fuel quota from a person.

He had demanded the bribe from others as well. One such person had tipped off the Commission and the officials from the Commission nabbed the suspect while he was soliciting the bribe.

The Bribery Commission said that the suspect will be produced before the Batticaloa Magistrate’s Court.
