In recognition of the Bank of Ceylon’s (BOC) partnership with Daraz’s e-commerce platform, BOC was awarded the ‘Daraz Payment Partner Performance Award 2022’ with the “Best Performing Debit Card Base for 2022” accolade. It was also the second consecutive year BOC was honoured for this partnership.
The Bank has seen an unprecedented demand for its Debit cards among its customer base. By 2021, BOC’s overall Debit card performance reached a milestone with a 400 per cent growth when compared with performances in preceding years. This remarkable growth was especially a result of the Bank’s focus on enriching partnerships with its online platforms.
In turn, the growth witnessed in BOC Card performances has enabled the country’s e-commerce market to reach new heights. Hence, partnerships with e-commerce platforms such as Daraz that bring together consumers and sellers remain instrumental in realizing the Central Bank’s objective toward a cashless society at large.

Simultaneously, Bank of Ceylon offers a range of special discounts available for its Cardholders around the year with various partnerships with merchants including leading supermarkets and online platforms. In addition, BOC Credit Cardholders are eligible for zero interest instalment plans when purchasing goods and services from selected merchants.
