Motorbike rider killed in three-wheeler collision

Police in Maharagama say that a motorbike rider was killed and two others were injured when a three-wheeler and a motorcycle collided in front of Maharagama Navinna Ayurveda on Saturday.

The person who died in the incident was Ashan Rohana Jayaweera, 28, a resident of the Udugama area in Galle, who was working as an insurance company representative.

Police say that the accident occurred when Ashan and a friend who was on the pillion were travelling from Maharagama to Mirihana tried to overtake a car.
