Sri Lanka cricket team made a good comeback during the Asia cup cricket tournament when they recorded back-to-back victories against Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The Sri Lanka team led by Dasun Shanaka made a good team effort to get success in this tournament so far.

Sri Lankan team head coach Chris Silverwood was in a hurry to go to the field during the water break (after ten overs) and gave instructions to the players. When Sri Lanka batsmen were struggling in the Bangladesh match Silverwood went to the middle and gave instructions and encouraged the players and this was very unfamiliar behaviour from the head coach.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa the dashing stroke player reminded at the press briefing about the value of Chris Silverwood.

As a coach, he always gives a free hand to the players while his motivation is very valuable to the players.

The former English coach was always very friendly with the players. He is very keen to chat with players and coordinates with his supporting staff to get team success.

During the Super Four game against Afghanistan in Sharjah When two batters Danushka Gunathilaka and Charith Asalanka were at the wicket they got a water break. Normally reserve players go to the middle with water and coaches send messages through the reserve players.

Now Sri Lanka players get good encouragement from the team head coach as his advice is always very important for the cricketers.
