Rain interrupts Lankan U-19 innings

Sri Lanka under 19 led by Raveen de Silva scored 248 for 9 wickets in 48 overs while match delayed by rain in their first limited over game against England under 19 played at Worcester in England yesterday.

England youth team choose to field first and Sri Lankan batters scored a good total. Shevon Daniel the in form batter who is the vice captain of the side once again made a good knock of 54 in 64 balls with 5 fours and a six while opener Abhishek Liyanarachchi (33), wicket keeper Anjala Bandara (44) and Malsha Tharupathi (37) made useful knocks to build up the total. Sri Lanka under 19 already won the 4 day game series 1-0 looking to win the three match one day series.
