Sri Lanka take on India in super four game today

Sri Lanka team led by Dasun Shanaka ready to take challenge against India when the two teams meet today in their Super four Asia Cup cricket fixture scheduled to be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium commence from 7.30pm (Sri Lanka time).

However this game will put big pressure on India as they lost to Pakistan by 5 wickets in their first super four game last Sunday at the same venue in Dubai after the last ball thriller.

Rohit Sharma and the team should win this game to keep their place for the final and if they loose Sri Lanka game today Indians have to go home with empty hand.

Sri Lanka team already beat Afghanistan more comfortably at the Sharjah International stadium on August third gave more confidence to go forward to the final. “We are in good momentum to take India challenge and have a plan to win the game,” said skipper Dasun Shanaka.

Our batters are in good form while bowlers are doing decent job so far this tournament and always plan to go match by match said Dasun Shanaka who is a strong middle order batter of the side.

Sri Lanka having two key spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana both are having IPL experience last time and both of them have good knowledge about the Indian key players.” I think by playing with more Indian players at the IPL we got knowledge of them and both Maheesh Theekshana and Wanidu Hasaranga are our key bowlers while our top order batters are in good form and these are extra benefit for this game,” added Dasun Shanaka.

The openers Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka are in good touch with the bat while Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dhanushka Gunatilleka also in good form. The only worry of the vice captain Charith Asalanka who was not good with the bat having failed in three times in a row. However Sri Lanka Cricket team is not finalized the last eleven players and it has to be named yesterday night after the final training session. However Dhananjaya de Silva will most probably replace for Asalanka.

Meanwhile Indian team led by Rohit Sharma is ready to win today’s game and their main strengthen is batting while experienced Virat Kholi also in good form to make good innings. That is plus point for Indians. Indian spinners also doing a good job with the ball while they also expected the dashing batter Hardik Pandya will click at the right time to put pressure for Sri Lanka.
